FROM WASTE TO ENERGY
In a world that has foreseen the inevitable end of fossil fuels, the search for alternatives has become of major importance. REVIRON d.o.o. is one of the players setting up waste streams that aim at processing waste into alternative fuels and supplies alternative fuels. Most commercial and industrial, sorted, non-recyclable paper-plastic fractions are being used as raw material to produce alternative fuels. Such alternative fuels can replace lignite, bituminous coal and other fossil fuels, as cement kilns, power stations and lime kilns already do – they substitute primary, fossil fuels with alternative ones in their kilns and boilers.
Due to the large number of production and handling processes the residues present a considerable variety and different acceptance criteria. By focusing on product development and quality surveillance, REVIRON d.o.o. aims at offering its customers the best recovery solutions for secondary fuels.
We take care of the complete supply chain – from logistics, shipping, TFS to recovery.
The energy recovery plants REVIRON d.o.o. cooperates with are all R1 compliant and many of them use waste to produce district heating, steam for industrial processes as well as electricity.
Using back load logistics by road, train and sea also ensures that the use of existing recovery capacity performs well environmentally wise speaking, especially when compared with the output of new energy from waste infrastructure.
ENVIRONMENT
By using waste as alternative fuel, waste doesn’t end up in landfill, causing soil and air pollution. In terms of environmental impact, the use of alternative fuels lowers considerably the use of fossil fuels - approximately 1.000 kg of alternative fuels can replace 800 kg of coal. The CO2 emissions in waste combustion are lower than the emissions of coal combustion, since a typical alternative fuels consist of at least 50% biomass and biomass is carbon neutral.
